1.) Who do they work for?

2.) How are they treated at work?

3.) How long are the expected to work a day?

4.) How much money do they make?

5.) Do they make enough money for a living?

1.) I am curious on who these laborers work for. Do these laborers even know who they work for or have they even met them? I'm also curiousnot  about these people here about these jobs? Is it from the bosses who gave them the offer?

2.) I think its important to not abuse the workers at their job because some of them might feel bad enough with this job they have and feel depressed that they cant support their family and that if they would,ve stayed in India they could be making better money.

3.) I think their working hours should be realistic and not staying up all night and gibe them a couple of days off every once in a while and not over work them and suck the energy out of them.

4.) Paying them a good amount is wery important so they can support their family and put food on the table. It is not such a good idea to cheat them out of money since these are the people that build our huses and malls and other entertainment sydtems like theatres and resorts, without them we would have nothing to do and if you don't give them enough money they might rebel.

5.) As i said before they should get a reasonable amount to support their families and buy any household items that they need.

Steps for your poem

List resources used

Qatar labor laws here

more labor laws here

Qatar labor here

Al jazeera Blood Sweet and Tears article official website

An article on labor suicide in the gulf and middle east

Explain how/why each resource was used

1.) i picked the first website because it was a site of all the laws in Qatar in not all then most. Also since most of the things about laborers is illegal like what the companies are doing to them i thought it would be a good idea to be able to look at all the kaws and see what is wrong and right.

  • 2.) This is a site of all the labor laws what u can and cant do to them and most companies are treating them like crap and they cant do anything about it because who would believe them.

3.) This site shows how oil is one of the big reasons why the companies are bringing alot of workers to Qatar and treating them the way the do.

4.) We watched an article in class from Al jazeera called Blood, Sweat, and Tears all abiut Qatar labor and the companies that hire them the also told us about labor suicide and interviewd some workers on their opinion of working there and they all had the same opinion. That they were cheated out of money, This one person said that he had been working for thirty moneths but had only been paid for two i personally felt bad for the person since it would be hard to live with the money they are giving them after all they are  the ones buiding everything we go to. This is a website  on the whole article and adding more to it. On this website i found a quote that made a lot of sense and should be listened to. "These hard working people deserve decent living and working conditions while working in the gulf states" and as Tupac once said "we need to start makiin changes" and you can read the lyrics to this tupacs song changes that are all about poverty and how people are treated and protecting kids from drugs here

5.) This is a good website to use that shows the suiciide rate of laborers in the gulf and middle east and since the article by Al jazeera talked about labor suicide i thought i should i add this on my wiki.
  • Choose best resources
1.) i think the best resources are the websites on the suicide rates, The Al Jazeera article and the one on Qatari laws because they give me the most information that i need for my poem and the others basically say the same things.

  • Question why you did'nt choose the other resources
1.) i didnt choose the other resources because they didnt give me as much information as the ones i chose for the best resources and they pretty much say the same things as laborart - Editingthe other sites with less information and details.
