STEPS

1.List resource materials

Qatarsucks.com

answers.yahoo.com/workinghoursinmexico

Thaindian.com/workersdonttrusttheirbosses

Clipmarks.com/Childlabour

wikipedia.org/child labour

CNN.com/Child LABOR

Investinqatar.com

www.hrw.org/LabourRights

2.Describe resource materials

* Qatarsucks - This site is very negative  and not very reliable, because all

the information might not be true. For example, all the information that is

given is talking about how bad qatar is and no info on any positive things.

working hours in mexico - i went on this site, and its not a very good one

because all it shows are the opinions of people about the topic.

There is no really valid information and this 100% correct.

- This site does not have alot of information, but it does have some

positive notes. This small article is coming from THAINDIAN NEWS.

workers don't trust their bosses- Again, not alot of information is this article,

but most of it i trust, i think its a reliable source.

Child Labour- This  has only a little bit of info and many comments on the bits

on info given. I can trust the information, and many of the opinions and comments

from people, some i agree with and some i don't.

Wikipedia/childlabour- I only trust wikipedia sometimes, because anyone can just

come on and put any false information on there and you wouldnt know if it was true

or not unless you compared the information on other sites. But wikipedia usually gives

really good information, because most of the info that is posted, is posted by teachers

and profesers.

CNN/Child Labor- Cnn, is a really good source to get information from.

This page on Child Labor, is acually really interesting and explains how many children

from the age of 5 to 17 have to work and make things that we use today.

InvestinQatar- This site basically explains how Qatar has Labor Laws on Workers and tells abit about where they come from. Theres not alot of information, if there were this site would be abit better.

Human Rights Watch/ Srilankan LAbour-  This gives some information about Workers in the Middle East and Asia. And how alot are abused. I guess this site is pretty good, and im guessing most of it is correct information, because it gives some links to wear they found this info.

www.hrw.org/LabourRights- This had LOADS of information about Labour rights and Migrant Workers in Asia. What was really good about this site, was that it has many reliable sources that we're linked on, to go find more information on the certain topic.

3.Choose the most important resource materials

CNN

WIKIPEDIA

4. Compare and contrast resource materials

CNN and WIKIPEDIA are different and alike in a few ways.

CNN has alot of very good information which is also shared on the news,

some might be false, but over all -to me-this is a great site to research and

find out things on. On CNN you can find all sorts of issues and problems and

things to discuss that are happening all over the wolrd. Wikipedia is also a fantastic

source, with good information, but alot of it could be made up, because anyone can

just post anything they wanted to on Wiki, where as on CNN you cant. But most

of all the information posted on Wiki, is posted by Profesers and teachers.

5. Define appropriatness

In this case a bad example of appropriatness would be: Qatarsucks.com is

not an Appropriate site because it talks only negative things about Qatar

and no one even knows if any of the information given on that site is true?

There might be some links given on that site, to where he found all that

information, but to me, posted ONLY negative things about a country isnt

very appropriate.

A good example of appropriatness would be CNN because it gives positive information

thats valid. And gives many links to wheres they found all this information.

6. Arrange your info and create a poem

7. Predict wether or not the poem will be succesful

Questions Most Important to Least

What are their living conditions?

How many workers have been sparated from their families?

How much money do they make a month?

How do the workers feel about life?

NOTES

-Child workers, some as young as 10, have been found working in a textile

factory in conditions close to slavery to produce clothes that appear destined for

Gap Kids, one of the most successful arms of the high street giant.(slave child labour)

-According to one estimate, more than 20 per cent of India's economy is dependent

on children, the equivalent of 55 million youngsters under 14.(slave chils labour)

-In the Industrial Revolution, children as young as four were employed in production factories with

dangerous, and often fatal, working conditions.[7] Based on this understanding of the

use of children as labourers, it is now considered by wealthy countries to be a human rights

violation, and is outlawed, while some poorer countries may allow or tolerate it. (child labour)

-In addition, the survey also found that 23 per cent of lower paid workers on AWAs claimed their

bosses were not allowing them to meet family responsibilities.(low paid workers)

-218 million children between the ages of 5 and 17 work in developing countries. (CNN)

-"Governments in the Middle East expose Sri Lankan domestic workers to abuse by refusing to guarantee a weekly rest day, limits to the workday, freedom of movement and other rights that most workers take for granted."-Jennifer Turner(Human Rights Watch)
